Description: Originally from Durban, South Africa, Andrew has built his career around a passion for adventure, the outdoors, and life on the water. An avid rugby player and accomplished mountaineer, he began diving at just 15 years old and went on to work as an outdoor adventure instructor, leading rock climbing and kayaking excursions before becoming a dive instructor and dive boat captain at a South African dive resort. He later expanded his experience in the United Kingdom while pursuing his enthusiasm for ice climbing and mountaineering in Scotland.
Andrew brought his expertise to the Bahamas, where he spent several years running dive operations and crewing 100-foot charter yachts throughout Nassau and the Exumas. Since relocating to the United States in 2010, he has served as a captain, first mate, engineer, and sportfishing captain, with extensive experience in premier tournaments including the Lyford Cay International Fishing Tournament, the Caveman Slam, and Southeast Bahamas competitions. Holding both MCA and U.S. Coast Guard 200-Ton licenses, Andrew is also a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), making him an exceptional resource for guests looking to enjoy world-class diving, fishing, and watersports.
Known for his positive attitude, technical expertise, and love of the outdoors, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to every charter aboard M/Y SPECTRE. Among his many outdoor accomplishments, he completed a record-setting eight-day kayak crossing of Zimbabwe's Lake Kariba – a testament to his endurance and love of exploration. Whether assisting guests with a day of fishing, exploring vibrant coral reefs, or ensuring every aspect of the yacht operates seamlessly, he is dedicated to creating safe, memorable, and first-class experiences on the water.

Description: Originally from Durban, South Africa, Captain Marc has spent a lifetime on the water. After growing up sailing, surfing, and competing in cricket and rugby, he served as a Full Corporal Section Leader in the South African Defense Force before joining South Africa's National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), conducting surf and offshore rescue missions. After arriving in the United States in 2001, Captain Marc earned his U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master's License for both power and sailing vessels in 2003.
With more than three decades of professional maritime experience, Captain Marc has managed yacht programs throughout South Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the U.S. East Coast. A certified PADI Divemaster with extensive knowledge of sportfishing and watersports, he has captained and supported numerous Bahamas fishing tournaments while creating exceptional experiences for guests on the water. Prior to taking the helm of M/Y SPECTRE, Marc spent over 20 years working with the owner's family aboard multiple large motor yachts, earning a reputation for professionalism, discretion, and outstanding service.
When he's not navigating spectacular cruising destinations, Captain Marc's adventurous spirit continues ashore. He has led multi-week African safari expeditions across four countries as an overland guide and truck driver, is an avid skydiver, and speaks both English and Afrikaans. His calm leadership, extensive experience, and genuine passion for hospitality ensure every charter aboard M/Y SPECTRE is safe, seamless, and unforgettable.
